Co-host Jeffery Heatherly and I discuss Jeremiah Chechik's 1998 adaptation of the classic British television series
The Avengers, a movie featuring giant teddy bears, robot bees, invisible people, bad one-liners and Sean Connery shouting at people in full Scottish regalia. Sounds awesome, right? Sadly, it isn't.
The film is fun and a guilty pleasure. I just wish the studio hadn't raped and massacred it. Connery as a villain is such a rarity, it's a shame it was wasted on such an unfocused film.
